The purpose of treatment is to kill insects, relieve itching, and treat complications.
Once diagnosed, scabies patients should be isolated immediately, and their clothes and bedding should be boiled and disinfected. Family members or people who live in a group should be treated at the same time.
The main treatment is external medicine. For severe pruritus, sedative and antipruritic drugs can be taken orally before going to bed. In case of secondary infection, antibiotics should be used at the same time.
